Incident
in New Baghdad is a compelling film from New York filmmaker
James Spione. It focuses on former U.S. Army Specialist and Wichitan
Ethan McCord, the subject of a 2007 Wikileaks controversy,
who witnessed one of the most notorious incidents
of the Iraq War. McCord witnessed the July 2007 slayings of two
Reuters journalists and a number of other unarmed civilians by U.S.
attack helicopters. The film is an Oscar contender, having been
short-listed for nomination for “Best Documentary (Short
Subject)” at the 2012 Academy Awards. Post-screening includes
an interview and reception with McCord and Spione. For details
